I've been so inspired over the months by a certain blog friends Thankful Sunday posts that I decided to start one myself.
.
I am thankful that I didn't need to buy any new school uniforms for the kids this year. I saved over 100 dollars that I didn't have to spend.
.
I am thankful for our new chore chart that is making life more pleasant for all of us.
.
I am thankful for the great weather we have been enjoying, cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons.
.
I am thankful for the books I received from my favorite authors grand-daughter, with the kids in school,I can finally start reading again.
.
And I am thankful for the crickets who perform a lovely symphony outside my bedroom window every night.
.
I am thankful that as I sit here in my dining room with the window open, I can hear the church bells ringing, it's beautiful.
.
And of course I am ever so thankful for six small, medium ,and large monkeys who make my life ever changing, something I was so wisely advised to embrace. I'm trying my friend.
.
* pictures above of Emilia are to appease a complaint from Denise who liked my post yesterday but missed pictures of Em, LOL.
Lovely thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI think having a heart of thankfulness really gives us some great perspective, doesn't it?
Awe what a great list. I'm so excited you started a Thankful Sunday. For me, it just seems to start my week off right. And the pictures, priceless. Her smile...delightful.
ReplyDeleteThe crickets...we live in the country and they always seem to get in the house at some point. Everyone laughs at me because just like I don't like bats who seem to get in the house at least once a summer, I don't like crickets in the house either. So I'm chuckling as I read about the crickets.
Hugs
I love your list. Someday share your chore chart. We are currently trying a new system too. So far, it's going okay. But I am always open to new suggestions!
ReplyDeleteI love crickets too!! We had tree frogs in Virginia and they were my all-time favorite. Now Carol, having bats in the house once a summer...oh my golly...I would be freaked out completely. They are the creepiest, scariest, did I say creepiest thing in the entire world!! YIKES!!
And your Em....always precious!! xo
Oh...you just made my morning with those pics of Emilia!!! I am THANKFUL for them!! I really enjoyed reading your list. I should try that...we will see if I get inspired today. Give that sweet girl a big, wet, kiss for me.
ReplyDeleteOH isn't she an angel!!! Love the pictures and that smile. Its so important to once in a while stop and think of all the things we are thankful for, made me stop to think too!
ReplyDelete....and oh I simply love the sound of crickets too
