17 Months!!
Next month I can officially say Miss Em is one and a half years old! Not quite sure I like the sound of that. She's growing too fast. Faster than the other kids, it seems. She continues to delight and amaze us daily. She is becoming her own little person with a colorful personality.
Emilia has come to the conclusion, that she won't do anything she doesn't feel like doing. I laugh every week because she will, "talk" for her PT, "walk" for her OT, and "play" for her ST. It's calculated and deliberate I swear !
She is not easily impressed with toys... still. But faces amaze her. Music makes her dance for joy, and books keep her entertained. Singing Old MC Donald while signing puts her in stitches, she thinks she is the absolute coolest when she stands up and swings her arms back and forth, and her favorite place to be is on the floor rolling around with her brother and sisters.
My favorite place for her to be is in my arms.
Aww, I love this:) Time sure does pass rather quickly! Em and Landon sound like 2 of a kind! I cannot wait for them to meet! What an absolute doll:)
ReplyDeleteWow time flies! Music and faces are a favorite of mine too. Jax could care less about toys too. Little stinkers!
ReplyDeleteHappy 17 month birthday Emmie!! I know it seems like they are growing too fast but at the same time I think about how lucky we are to have this stage last longer than usual. The only downside I fear is that the terrible toddler stage will also last longer!! :) We love you Emmie...hugs for another month :)
ReplyDeleteShe has done so well in her 17 months. Our M loves music too. He even has his own keyboard and needed earplugs because he plays the same songs over and over again. She is one cutie!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm like you...torn between wanting them to stay little and cuddly, and wanting them to grow bigger and more independent. Happy 17 months, Emilia!!
ReplyDeleteAll three of Em's favorites are Zoey's as well!See... they would be fast friends I am certain of that.
ReplyDeleteHappy 17 months little one!
Happy 17 Months Em!! Marissa turned 18 mo. just yesterday. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is so true that the "prolonged" babyhood of most DS little ones is just another blessing they bring with them. How many mommies have wished to have them stay little - even for just while longer. Emmie is just darling and she has chosen well. Faces of people to tell her who's real, music to move her soul, and books to feed her quest for knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are not planning on leaving "Baby Mine" on for very long. I cry every time I hear that song or watch that movie!
Hold her as long as you can! ~Liz
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling! It's amazing how fast these wee ones are growing up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a big girl! And, what a cutie! Happy 17 months! Hugs!!!
ReplyDeletei can't believe our girlies will hit the 18 month marker next month! (of course, you'd never know it by pudge's clothing tags...)
ReplyDeleteLC's with you on the popularity of toys at our house...her favorite "toy"? The doorstopper behind the door in her dad's bathroom. Ugggh.
Happy 17 months, peanut butter!
happy 7 months. I so miss those days!
ReplyDeleteHappy 17 month birthday sweet Emilia and yes you do make me smile like the sun everytime I see your face!
ReplyDeleteI know time is flying too fast Saira just turned 20 months, one wouldn't think so looking at her. We just have to enjoy and make memories of each moment.
