Update!!

Kidney Stones!!! Poor Peter.

First thank you my friends for praying. This must have been the quickest case of kidney stones in the world...ever! I know it was because of your immediate prayers. Peter woke up at six this morning in major pain. I called 911 and off we went. I followed in my car, leaving the two oldest in charge at home.

As soon as he arrived at the ER they gave him something for the pain. Don't remember the name but they said it was more powerful than morphine. I didn't know there was anything more powerful.

Seriously once the pain was under control he was basically fine. They did a cat scan and determined that the stone was already in his bladder. We were out of there by eleven thirty.
Amazing!!!

Meanwhile while back at the ranch my friend Melinda saw Sophia's post and called to see what she could do. Bella really needed to be at ballet this morning so Angel Melinda took her. Huge thanks!!!!!

And Angel Melinda also brought some goodies back with her after ballet class. I was wondering what the kids were going to eat, but that was taken care of. THANK YOU!!!!

And to my two oldest girls! You seriously rose to the occasion! Thank you for taking such good care of Emmie and Andrew. Love you!!

  2. Oh, I'm so glad. Well not for the stones, but you know what I mean! I had 7 stone surgies in the 18 months after my middle child was born. I barely remember the period as I was on those powerful pain meds for most of it. An incredible doctor finally found a small birth defect in my bladder and I have been fine since. But I will say that your husband's pain came pretty close to childbirth. I think kidney pain is slightly worse but childbirth lasts longer, so childbirth wins. But he came close. Poor guy! What an awesome family you have.

  3. Your girls are so mature! Ugh kidney stones, I'd rather have twins with no epidural than go through that again! Men definitely can experience a pain worse than childbirth!

  9. I'm glad to hear everything turned out well, and quickly! A co-worker of mine was out for more than a week in excruciating pain with kidney stones recently. She said it was like giving birth (although she has no children, other than the recurring kidney stones she's had over the years!). Can't even imagine.

  10. So glad all is well now, WHEW! Tell Peter that I hope he is feeling better, and now he has a small idea what giving birth is like, lol!!
P.S. Glad I caught the ERGENT post AFTER the update post, I would of worried to death with the lack of info! And way to go little ladies, what a huge deal to rise to such an occasion, I know your Mom is proud!
