Now that, that Yankee hat is gone, I was looking for something to keep Miss Em's hair out of her eyes. Something more appropriate, hehe, j/k.
She also CANNOT stand having her hair brushed or styled. She looks adorable with a barrette on the side or a small clip, but she eats them. So much for that, and I'm getting tired of the same half up half down style she's been wearing for the past year.
She hasn't had her headbands in for a while. From the photo above you can guess why. Not a big fan of these either. Is it giving her a migraine or something?
Maybe if I just keep putting them back on, I can break her, like a wild horse.
Or just let her hair fly all over the place. It does kind of suit her personality.
*The last photo is a slightly older one of Em.
Does she like them on when she can see herself in the mirror??? I just love that flower on the band . . . . Wish I could keep a headband on, but it just slowly slides back and off. Drives me nuts.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the 5th pic, awesome. Even if she only kept the headband on for a nanosecond! =)
ReplyDeleteAlayna does not like headbands either...brain squishers!
Oh, I am so with you girl! Molly will NOT allow anyone to touch her head and it sounds like we are killing her when I do attempt to put her hair up in pony tails. There is no way that Molly would wear that adorable headband! That is just too cute! Lovin' the last pic! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteWhen you figure out the trick to keeping something, anything in,will you let me know?Seriously,my wild child has the hair to match,as you know.We have had a brief spell of ponies working.Got to figure it out.I am certain her therapists/teacher think I am negligent, allowing hair to impair her already impaired vision! Not cutting it though ... chemo didn't take it,I am certainly not either!
ReplyDeleteLove the last one.Fittingly Em!
Have a happy weekend.
ahhh. i love those headbands witht he big flowers. maybe try glue. haha. i always hated things around my head, too. em is getting so big!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same issues with Miss B--the only things that work for her are pigtails or ponytails and it is a daily war to get those done. If I don't put it up though--that last pic is exactly what Miss B's hair looks like...only usually she has some leftover breakfast in it too. :P I just consider it her grunge-rockstar look.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I really hope Kaelyn will work with me on the hair doo's. I've been looking forward to that part since I was a kid myself.
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely a wild, let her hair fly all over the place kind of girl!!! Poor Ella has had the same fountain hair style forever. I just can't stand the hair in her face but she won't leave anything else on her head for very long either. Oh well......
ReplyDeleteThe Skink never cared to have her hair done... until I started letting her "help" do big sis's hair - she likes to brush it. Then she'll stand just like sis did and let me do hers. Sure - I have to be quick, quick, quick! I use the colorful little rubber bands that don't slip out easily when she tugs on them... so her hair stays up a little longer - - and sometimes ALL DAY (perish the thought).
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't for the food and random nose drips getting in the hair, I'd probably just leave it down... but I'm tired of finding tomato sauce and cookies in it :)
love the pics - especially the last one. i think that is the way whitney would prefer to wear her hair too. she is TERRIBLE about keeping barrettes in - she has been caught many times eating them and especially throwing them - most often when we are out and i do not know she has done it, so we have lost quite a few cute barrettes --- maybe i can break whitney with a headband - let me know if you come up w/ any tricks :) she looks adorable with her hair in her face, with her half up do and also w/ her fun flower headband!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is some hair band...if only they would keep them on!! Don't worry same problem here, why do you think I've had to cut Saira's bangs, I mean the poor girl can hardly see anyway so I had to atleast not let her hair add to her blindness. Same goes for clips, out of her hair in seconds and in her mouth if not flung right across the room. So I think since you have managed to grow her hair so beautiful and long let her just go with the wild look!!
ReplyDeleteBtw glad you managed to get a picture of her in that hair band before she got it out of her hair, she looks absolutely gorgeous, so very very pretty!
She looks so grown up! Lindsey hates for me to brush what little hair she does have. I have to do a sneak attack to get a bow in and then get her mind off it quick or out it comes. I am with you though I am constantly following Brooke around brushing the hair out of her face. I don't get why that doesn't bother them more than a clip holding it out of their eyes. Oh well.
