Separation Anxiety

. good morning

.

. what does he do at night?

....just a little and it's all mine.Emilia is 8 months old today. I am proud to say she made it through the night in her own crib. I've been trying for the past 3 nights. Yes, I've been trying, Em was doing fine. I admit I had some issues about putting her in her crib, soooo far away from my bedside and the safety of her bassinet. But it was time... plus her legs were hanging over the sides (only kidding), but it was becoming a tight squeeze. As you can see in the pictures she slept like a "baby". Woke up happy, and has her big brother to protect her through the night. Who looks like he's fighting his own battles at night, just look at what he does to his bedding, what a mess!

Anyway, I've come up with a master plan to switch every ones bedrooms around. I don't really like Emilia and Andrew sharing a room. When I was pregnant I thought for sure Emilia was a Matthew ( just my own assumption) and being with Andrew would work well.. Surprise! So she doesn't have her own pretty space. So everyone is moving, Peter and I are taking the big room downstairs, Olivia is getting our room, Sophia and Bella are getting Andrew's and Andrew is going into Olivia's. There is plenty of room in the big bedroom for Emilia to have her own little space...and she'll be with me again. There is a method to my madness.

I thought this would be a "fun" summer project, plus a chance to get rid of "stuff" that my pack rats can't seem to part with. Wish me luck!

We are constantly moving bedrooms around here! It's all I can do to keep everyone happy... plus, I can't afford a bigger house! Good luck with all that!

Good luck with the room changing. When we bought this house I was glad to see a HUGE bedroom downstairs that would fit all three older boys. They love to be together and usually end up in the same bed.
Plus it leaves me an extra bedroom upstairs for a guest room.

She is so stinking cute, so happy in the morning. And that's hilarious about your son, he must be having some serious nightmares or something. Thanks for the comments! You're great.

Gosh...I am such a mean mom!! All three of my kids (yes little Ella included) were moved into their own rooms at 8 weeks old. We all slept so much better!!Emmie looks so cute when she awoke. Don't you just love a baby that wakes up with a smile. And then they get older and growl at you when you go to wake them up for school.

Wow! Sounds like a lot of switch-a-roo going on! Decluttering always makes me feel so much better, even though I hate when things all pile up again. Have fun with your 'summer project'.

P.S. I love Emmie's good morning smile. So sweet!

Ok, I admit I kept Em in my room WAY longer than the others, but that's only because she could still fit in the bassinet, everyone else out grew it at about 2 months.

I didn't realize how close Lindsey and Em are in age. Lindsey was born October 21. I just love those morning smiles. How can they not make you happy to wake up to that beautiful smile every morning.

Finally stopped by and checked out your blog. Your kids are beautiful! Emilia looked just like my Mattie sleeping in her crib. We are thinking about doing some room switching too. We are good until Mattie decides to climb out of her crib. Hopefully we have lots of time before that starts.

I am not sure when I will be 'strong' enough to part with Preslie. For now, she is in a co-sleeper right next to me. And really, we have no place to put her, but I feel your pain/'anxiety'...it will be a long time I fear before Kurt and I get our rooms back! :) And yes, spring cleaning...love it! :)

Boy, that's a lot of room changing. Change can be fresh and fun, though. Great photos! Em is beautiful and looks content in her crib. :-)
