Emilia in the NICU, just a day old. She is wrapped in one of the handmade blankets we received from a kind stranger. I will always treasure it.
OK Cammie I'm in!! I'm making a valiant effort to partake in Down Syndrome Awareness and post everyday. At least a picture. I'm doing this in an attempt to help or comfort anyone who is in the same situation I was in just one year ago. I was about to give birth to a baby with DS and had no idea what to expect or how I would react. All I can say is ...IT'S ALL GOOD!
Thought I would start when Emilia was born and work my way up to the present, since it's her birthday month it seems like a good plan. I didn't start this blog until Em was six months old so now you get to see her from the beginning

I am so excited to view your journey from the beginning! A year ago this month (when Justin was 6 months old) we found out he had Down syndrome. October will always be a very special month to me!
Beautiful baby...
Gorgeous pic. Jax has so many blankies from the hospital. We treasure every one.
Oh sweet Emilia!! And Stephanie..of course that isn't chocolate that Ella is eating in her photos!! I wouldn't do that. Actually I was going to try chocolate pudding but I didn't have any. We thought that if she would just try things maybe she would try more. Today she was actually eating a mixture of bananas, prunes and carrots...hence the lovely brown color!!
I can't wait to read all you post about your sweet little one. Hugs..
You go girl!
You are so right! It is all good! I'm loving the new fall page!
The fall page looks great and that header picture ... oh.my.gosh!!!Just beautiful.Em is beginning to look like a one year old!And I swear, she and Ella look so much alike to me.Must be those big blue eyes.Looking forward to checking in on your "31 for 21"!
I commend you for your 31 for 21 effort, I won't even pretend I can do it! Look forward to yours... I always appreciate seeing pics of the precious Em!
