31 for 21: The Sweet tooth... Is It Bigger In Kids With Down syndrome??

I have no idea, there is no data on that.I'm just being silly. I'm just going by what I see. This Dumpling can smell chocolate from a room away.  Can wipe out a bag of M&M's in no time flat. and will eat any flavor of ice cream...even strawberry. Now that's hard core.

If you have a sweet and you make eye contact with her consider it hers. Don't leave it unattended because she will stuff it in her mouth immediately.  I've seen her devour a candy bar in two bites .Stuffs her little mouth til her cheeks are puffed out like a squirrel packing it away for winter.

Wait til Halloween. She's going to freak when people start throwing candy at her!! this is the first year that she will actually "get" what's going on.

Yep, I think she likes it, lol! Too cute! As for my little guy, he loves ice cream and that's about it for sweets. Thank goodness because my husband and I are badly addicted to sweets!

I think it is a common thing for downsyndrom girls. :) My older sister has downs, and still to this day if we are in the same area and I have junk food, she is there!! Like BAM!!! And how can you tell them they cant have it?? And yes, she is going to freak at Halloween and getting candy. Isn't is precious? I hope she gets lots and lots of the good stuff, none of that candy that no one wants, all chocolate!! :)

I <3 the picture of her staring at the bowl, thats bigger than her head! Her expression is priceless! What a beauty!

And if "sweet toothism" is in fact stronger in individuals who have Ds, than V is doomed! I have a horrible sweet tooth!

Haha, cracking up on this one and I just wish we were close enough to watch her trick or treat, or my goodness I can imagine her laughter and excitement at all the candy. Watch out neighbors here comes Emmie!

Must not run on the 21st chromosome though Dariya still isn't a big sweets eater, although she doesn't spit chocolate out anymore like she did when we were in Ukraine.

I think its a girl thing myself! But Arina loves anything in sight. Except broccoli, we finally found something she wont eat!

LOL - I think I have the only little girl in the world who doesn't like Krispy Kreme doughnuts! She'll eat some chocolate, but only sometimes. She'll nibble on cake, but then ditch it for grapes. I'm not at all upset she's not a sweet tooth (at least she's not yet).

Great pictures.

Claire has her dad's sweet tooth, which means none at all. I finally talked her into eating some candy corn the other day and have her hooked on those though. :)
