Looking Better

What a difference a day makes, yesterday his fever spiked to 104.7, today his room is a mess and the trains are all out. This is a beautiful sight.

Just came home from the doctors. Looks like everyone is one the mend. If Andrew stays fever free he can go back to school on Monday, same for Olivia. Emilia is better too. Not 100% yet , but much better. So far Sophia and Bella are good. Again, thanks for all the prayers.

This stinkin flu kind of got me off my 31 for 21 posting a bit, but I still got one in every day. No great words of wisdom, but more like ... a day in the life of... So I guess if anyone is out there wondering what life is like with a baby who has Ds, it's not that much different than other families. Emilia gets a lot of attention, but the others are not neglected. Andrew was my main concern this week. I guess what I'm trying to say is Emilia doesn't take away any of my love and attention for my other children. That was one of my worries. I didn't want my other children to resent Emilia because she might need me more at times. Actually, it's been just the opposite, she brings everyone closer, there is no jealousy. The kids just get it, they did from the minute they saw her in the hospital. They still fight like cats and dogs with each other, but that's another story. When it comes to Emmie, it's all good.

Oh I miss the train days. Tanner used to have them all over the whole house. Now they sit in a box collecting dust. I spent a lot of money on Thomas stuff.
Glad everyone is on the mend.

Hot dog! Glad all are better.

So right about having a special kid in the family. My younger son has become the big brother. He is fiercely loyal to the OrganizerSon.

Glad everyone is on the mend. He does look much better. There is some nasty stuff floating around out there this year. The boys just mended from H1N1 and I was freaked out the whole time hoping our Miss P steered clear. They started her on Tamiflu the moment the boys were confirmed and thankfully the disinfecting, washing and more washing paid off. So glad it didn't get worse for you guys!!!!!

I am so glad to hear that everyone is feeling better! What a good feeling! I have to agree on the whole attention thing. Sometimes I feel like Justin gets too much attention from me and others... but I sit back and watch my daughters and all of the attention they willingly give him too! Such a special thing!

Great news, so happy to hear the kids are pretty much all getting back to normal. Must be such a relief for you. Hope Emmie is also getting her smile back on her face, can't wait to see it again.

Glad everyone is starting to feel better. I loved your post. Ash and Cody are usually pretty good about that as well (the attention thing) although Ashlee did complain about our attention to Sam when he was sick as she was under the weather as well but then again she is a teenager right and that goes with the territory but usually their is no jealousy or stuff like that, he pulls them in as well.
