My Party Pooper

Just when you breathe a sigh of relief, pour yourself a glass of wine, and pat yourself on the back(that would be my back) and say , YIPEE, everything is done and ready for the Princesses party... the Princess wakes up from her nap with a fever. NOT TODAY!
Yes, the sweet was sick for her party. She wasn't even interested in her cake. She ran a fever on and off all day. She did rally for a while and played with some of her sweet friends, but was not herself at all. She was up and down all night. Thankfully she just happens to have her one year check up today. So she will see her Doctor. That will make me feel better.

But , I am still extremely thankful and surprisingly not disappointed in how the day went. Yes, it was very different then the party I planned, but we were still surrounded by our friends all day, Emilia got so many beautiful gifts (I'll show them to her when she feels better) and the most important thing of all, Emilia is healthy, she's not fighting for her life. She is not in the hospital.
Things could be a lot different, and I will always remember that.
She just woke up, so I have to go. if you have a chance today please would you say a prayer that it is nothing more than a run of the mill virus Miss Em has. With everything out there my mind does wander to other things that it could be. Thanks!

Feel better Em! Great job on the party. So funny, Lindsey has her Dr. appointment today. Waiting for them to open to reschedule though. Maybe she will have some left over cake today.

Praying right now for your sweet Em. I'm sorry the day didn't go has planned. Our kids tend to throw curveballs every now and then don't they. I'll be on pins and needles until we hear how her doctor's appt. went. Hugs friend

OH... poor baby. I will pray for her. I too worry about fevers and sicknesses right now. Too many yuckies wandering around. Hope all goes well at her appointment and glad her day was still amazing!

i'm sorry that emilia was sick. that just stinks. but i'm glad the bday party still turned out good. and if it makes you feel any better...from what i've heard and experienced the first bday is definitely more for the parents than the kids. henry was not really interested in much of anything that had to do with his party.

Oh gosh so sorry to hear that, I do hope Emilia feels better soon, don't worry too much I am sure its just a bug, but I can can see from the pictures she isn't quite her self. Do let us know how her yearly check up went. My Saira has been down with fever and a terrible cold the last 2 days, that means nights just sitting up and holding her against my chest. Hope for good news soon :) Glad the party was still enjoyed...everyone must have given Emilia lots of lovin!!!
