I guess it's time to start looking for a big girl bed for Miss Em. Just wondering what nights will be like for us with a toddler, toddling around! I have no hope that she will actually stay in the bed when tucked in at night. This might have to wait a few more months til summer vacation when getting to sleep isn't our...my top priority.

I say wait ... can you just see it now, finding her roaming around the house at night. Playing in her ball tent and climbing in the dish washer unattended? I can.
We use a twin mattress on the floor and the transition went very well. We tuck her in at night with pillows at the sides so that she has some feedback to not roll off.

We got to the point where The Skink would climb out of her crib... but she couldn't get back in, so we HAD to make the switch. We used one of those door-knob covers so she couldn't leave her bedroom. She slept on the floor a few nights, but then decided she really liked sleeping in her big-girl bed better - LOL!
Wait as long as possible! =) Dariya has transitioned and I find myself repacking her drawers that she empties EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Until she finally put herself to sleep on the floor.
Ugh, but once asleep she stays there until morning.
We have been trying to figure out the same thing for Lindsey. I think we are going to try a bed. She is all over the place so we have to push it against the wall and put a safety rail up. Guess they are getting too big for the cribs. Good Luck.
